Abstract

The invention relates to a preparation method of a flame-retardant PP (propene polymer) material for automotive upholstery. According to the method, the PP material is prepared from the following ingredients in percentage by weight: 70-80% of polypropylene PP particles, 13-18% of a nitrogen-phosphorus flame retardant, 1-2% of an antioxidant, 5-6% of organic silicon, and 5-6% of carbon dioxide solid state dry ice CO2, wherein the sum of mass percentage of raw materials is 100%; the method comprises the following steps: (1) mixing the polypropylene PP particles, the organic silicon and the nitrogen-phosphorus flame retardant, and performing low-speed blending; (2) adding the carbon dioxide solid state dry ice CO2, and performing intermediate speed blending; (3) performing high-speed optimization on the antioxidant and all above compositions to obtain a uniform composition; and (4) sizing the material through twin-screw extrusion. Shore hardness can be up to 100 or more, the flame-retardant PP material is wear-proof and high in strength, by mixing non-toxic solid state dry ice CO2 with the PP material, upholstery can be applied and rinsed in an industrial automobile, the flame-retardant PP material is a new technology which is the most revolutionary in environmental protection and can be used for removing pollution and odor, and the preparation method of the PP material for automotive halogen-free flame-retardant and odor-free upholstery is obtained.
