Abstract

Namely, after converter steelmaking is finished, the appropriate amount of silicon oxide containing material is added into melt slag, molten steel serves as a cathode, fusion electrolytic reduction reaction of the silicon oxide is conducted by applying a direct-current electric field to the position between an inertia anode arranged in the melt slag and the cathode, silicon in the silicon oxide is reduced to enter the molten steel, the deoxidation alloying purpose is achieved, and oxygen in the silicon oxide is exhausted into the atmosphere in the oxygen gas form by being subjected to anodic reaction with the inertia anode. Through the method and the device, the silicon oxide can be subjected to fusion electrolytic reduction, surplus free oxygen in the molten steel is removed, and meanwhile, a certain content of monatomic silicon can be added into the molten steel.
