Abstract

The invention discloses a method for determining the content of platinum in platinum-palladium alloy jewelry. The method comprises the following steps: (1) sample pretreatment; (2) weighing and dissolving of a sample; (3) degradation of nitric acid; (4) dissolving of complex acid; (5) oxidative hydrolysis; (6) crude separation of platinum palladium components; (7) dissolving of a palladium precipitate hydrate; (8) oxidative hydrolysis again; (9) secondary separation of the platinum and palladium components; (10) degradation of sodium bromate; (11) production of an ammonium chloroplatinate precipitate; (12) filtering and washing of the ammonium chloroplatinate precipitate; (13) filtering and washing of the ammonium chloroplatinate precipitate; (14) drying of the ammonium chloroplatinate precipitate; and (15) calculation of the mass of the ammonium chloroplatinate precipitate. According to the invention, chemical reaction conditions and operation process for the conversion of elemental platinum into the ammonium chloroplatinate precipitate are improved and optimized; determination results are good in accuracy, stability and reliability; the steps of pyrolysis and colorimetric or spectral analysis of ammonium chloroplatinate are omitted; an analysis period is shortened; analysis efficiency is improved; and the method meets the production and quality control needs of enterprises.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of detection, in particular to a method for measuring platinum content in platinum-palladium alloy ornaments. Background technique [0002] The ammonium chloroplatinate gravimetric method is currently the main method for quantitatively analyzing the platinum content of platinum-palladium alloy jewelry in China. The principle is: through a chemical reaction in the water phase, the platinum element in the platinum-palladium alloy sample is converted into ammonium chloroplatinate and precipitated. Then through high temperature reaction, the ammonium chloroplatinate is converted into elemental platinum. Weigh the mass of elemental platinum, and calculate most of the platinum content in the sample. Use stannous chloride colorimetry or spectroscopic analysis to determine the platinum content in the residual aqueous phase. The platinum content of the two parts is added to obtain the platinum content in the plati...
