Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of biomedicine and relates to a novel antibacterial peptide and its application. The amino acid sequence of the novel antibacterial peptide is shown in SEQ ID NO:1. The novel antimicrobial peptide of the present invention has broad killing activity on Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria, and the potential anti-infection effect has been proved in the excised wound model in mice and the pig skin model in vitro.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of biomedicine, and more specifically relates to a novel antibacterial peptide and the application of the novel antibacterial peptide in the preparation of medicines for treating skin and / or soft tissue infections. Background technique [0002] Over the past few decades, a large number of skin and soft tissue infections, manifesting as furuncles, carbuncles, abscesses, or cellulitis, have occurred in the outpatient setting. The main causative agent of this infection is Staphylococcus aureus. Staphylococcus aureus is a common gram-positive bacterium that causes a variety of illnesses ranging from minor superficial skin infections to life-threatening illnesses. A major challenge in the treatment of these skin and soft tissue infections is the rapid increase in drug-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus. With the increasing antibiotic resistance of Staphylococcus aureus and other microorganisms, there is an urgent...
