Problems solved by technology

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is a flavonoid compound extracted from Chinese green tea. Adenovirus, HIV, HPV, Epstein-Barr virus and many other viruses have obvious inhibitory effects, and are expected to become a broad-spectrum antiviral drug. There are no relevant reports on its application in anti-Zika virus drugs

Abstract

The invention discloses an application of epigallocatechin gallate and derivatives thereof in preparing drugs for resisting against zika virus. The epigallocatechin gallate has obvious anti-zika virusactivity, is capable of obviously restraining plaque effect caused by zika virus infection, mRNA and protein expression level and NS2B-NS3 protease activity and can achieve a 100% restraining effectby acting in an entering stage of zika virus; EGCG has low toxicity to cells and almost has no toxicity to Vero cells in concentration range of 0-50 MuM; IC50 of EGCG to zika virus is 18.23+ / -3.11nM and safety index is more than 2000. The invention develops a new application of EGCG, increases an economic value of EGCG and provides a theory and practice basis for application of EGCG in preparing drugs for resisting against zika virus.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the application of epigallocatechin gallate and derivatives thereof, in particular to the application of epigallocatechin gallate and derivatives thereof in preparing anti-Zika virus drugs. Background technique [0002] Zika virus is a mosquito-borne virus that was first identified in monkeys in Uganda in 1947 by a yellow fever surveillance network, and was later confirmed in humans in Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania in 1952. The most recent and most serious outbreak occurred in Brazil in 2015, and as of March 2017, host-transmitted Zika virus infection has been confirmed in at least 84 countries and regions. According to reports, Zika virus infection can cause nervous system disorders, including Guillain-Barré syndrome, meningoencephalitis, and myelitis. The group most affected by Zika virus is pregnant women. Microcephaly. The scientists also found that Zika virus can cause testicular damage and ultimatel...
