Abstract

A through-wall radar wall parameter estimation method mainly solves the problem of large deviation of wall parameter estimation results due to poor time delay estimation result accuracy of an existingmethod. The method includes: estimating time delay difference of front surface and rear surface reflected waves of a wall by adopting an orthogonal matching pursuit sparse reconstruction algorithm; constructing a target function from time delay difference estimated values and time delay difference theoretical values of M observation positions; accurately estimating thickness and a relative dielectric constant of the wall through minimization of the target function; accurately estimating electrical conductivity of the wall according to an amplitude ratio of the front surface and rear surface reflected waves of the wall under single-base transceiving conditions. In a wall parameter estimation process, the orthogonal matching pursuit sparse reconstruction algorithm is adopted for estimatingtwo-way transmission time delay difference of the front surface and the rear surface of the wall, resolution and accuracy of time delay difference estimation results under a condition of low signal-to-noise ratio are improved, and accordingly accuracy in wall parameter estimation is guaranteed.
