The gas protection device comprises a clamp, a base, a pressing block, a sliding block, a spindle, a support, a sleeve and a protective gas spray pipe, wherein the gas protection device is fixed on the laser head, and synchronously moves along withthe laser head in the working process, the sliding block is fixed on the base through the pressing block and a screw, the sliding block and the support rotate relative to each other by taking the spindle as the center, the sleeve is connected with a rib plate of the support through a screw, the protective gas spray pipe is fixed on the sleeve and rotates by taking the screw as the center, and a natural rubber gasket is arranged between the sleeve and the protective gas spray pipe so as to increase the friction force. The height of the protective gas spray pipe is enabled to be at a proper position by adjusting the position of the sliding block, and the height of the protective gas spray pipe can be adjusted and rotated at any angle through the rotary support and the sleeve, so that the atmosphere can be effectively protected in the high-temperature molten pool area and in the vicinity of a high-temperature molten pool area in the welding process, and the phenomenon that a weld joint is oxidized is avoided.
