Abstract

The invention discloses a method for generating an annular cutter path based on image processing under the condition of skin mirror image milling process constraints. The method comprises the steps of(1) extracting boundary geometrical characteristics of a to-be-machined cavity area on a skin, and converting the boundary geometrical characteristics into an image; (2) extracting a central skeletonof the binary image, and calculating a shortest Euclidean distance between a pixel point of a contour line and the central skeleton; (3) performing outward biasing by taking the central skeleton as acenter to generate an initial annular cutter path; and (4) converting the initial cutter path into an image, carrying out process constraint verification on the cutter path, and carrying out iterative deformation on the cutter path image by utilizing a moving least squares technology to optimize the cutter path until the optimal annular cutter path meeting the process constraints is obtained. Themethod disclosed by the invention can overcome the defect that a traditional cutter path generating method is difficultly suitable for the skin mirror image milling process constraints; the generation of the cutter path under the process constraints is realized; the mirror image milling cutter path which meets the requirements of no machining residues, qualified step pitch, smooth trajectory andno cutter lifting is finally obtained; and the requirements of skin mirror image milling are met.
