The catalyst system comprises 1)a solid catalyst component containing magnesium, titanium, halogen and aninternal electron donor; 2)an alkyl aluminum compound; and 3)an external electron donor, wherein the external electron donor comprises a compound as shown in a formula A. The catalyst system providedby the invention not only can improve the propylene polymerization activity and hydrogen regulation sensitivity of the catalyst, but also can maintain high stereodirectionality. In ethylene-propyleneand propylene-alpha-olefin polymerization, the polymerization activity can be improved under the condition that the content of comonomers is kept unchanged.
