Both powders were processed by means of a 400W SLM system, resulting in samples with dimensions 10 mm x 10 mm x 10 mm, and notched impact bending samples according to DIN EN ISO 148-1. Notched impact bending samples were constructed with upwardly directed notches in the substrate. Therefore, the fracture surface produced by the notched impact bending test is parallel to the construction direction. The system has constructed space heating. For the experiments, the substrate was heated to 800 °C.
