The method comprises the following steps: step 1, before transplanting rice in a seedling stage, observing the water level depth in a field; step 2, from the seedling transplanting stage to a turning green stage, enabling the water layer depth in the field to be 20-30mm; step 3, after a tillering stage, observingthe water layer depth, in a monitoring device every day, in the field in a shallow water layer drying stage, and recording the water layer depth; and step 4, according to the recorded data, determining irrigation requirements according to the water layer depth conditions of the rice in each stage.
