Abstract

According to the preparation method in the invention, unsaturated polyester which contains a carboxyl group in a side chain and has low glass-transition temperature is prepared by adopting a multi-step reaction, a salt-forming agent is added to neutralize the carboxyl group, and water is added to obtain the self-emulsifying anionic polyester carbon fiber sizing agent. The grafting reaction of the sizing agent on the surfaces of the carbon fibers and the cross-linking reaction among molecules of the sizing agent are optimized by adjusting the proportion of polyester double bonds of the sizing agent, so the bundling property and the fiber splitting property of the carbon fibers are regulated and controlled; meanwhile, the carboxyl group on a carbon fiber interface is increased after sizing, so glycidyl amine type epoxy resin is facilitated in formation of positive and negative charge effects on the carbon fiber interface and a cross-linking reaction with an epoxy resin matrix, and the interlayer shear strength of a composite material is improved; and in addition, the grafting reaction of the unsaturated polyester sizing agent on the carbon fiber interface and the self-crosslinking reaction degree of the unsaturated polyester sizing agent also influence the wettability and permeability of a vinyl ester resin matrix to sized carbon fibers and the interlayer shear strength of the composite material.
