A laser processing apparatus (100) of the present disclosure controls outputs of a blue laser oscillator (101) and an infrared laser oscillator (102) such that before a surface oxidation is detected on a workpiece (1), the workpiece (1) is irradiated with at least blue laser light (L1), and after the surface oxidation is detected on the workpiece (1), power of infrared laser light (L2) with which the workpiece (1) is irradiated is increased as compared to before the surface oxidation is detected.
