Abstract

The invention provides a plate cutting and sorting system and method. The system comprises a control computer, at least two straight bar cutting machines, a sorting truss device and a workpiece conveying track. The control computer is electrically connected with the straight bar cutting machines and is used for sending a cutting standard file to the straight bar cutting machines. The straight bar cutting machines are used for cutting to-be-cut plates according to the received cutting standard file so as to obtain at least one workpiece. The sorting truss device is fixed above the at least two straight bar cutting machines, electrically connected with the control computer and used for receiving the position information, sent by the control computer, of the workpieces, picking the workpieces according to the position information of the workpieces and placing the picked workpieces on the workpiece conveying track. The workpiece conveying track is arranged below the sorting truss device and used for conveying the workpieces to the designated position to be assembled. According to the embodiment of the plate cutting and sorting system and method, the cutting efficiency and safety are improved.
