A plugging agent used by the water-based drilling fluid is temperature and pH dual-stimulation-responsive nano-hydrogel, and the temperature and pH dual-stimulation-responsive nano-hydrogel is prepared from the following synthetic raw materials: nano-silica, a temperature-responsive monomer, a pH-responsive monomer, a cross-linking agent and an initiator. The water-based drilling fluid contains the temperature and pH dual-stimulation-responsive nano hydrogel disclosed by the invention.
