Abstract

The invention provides an optical convolution signal processing system and method based on cascaded modulators. According to the invention, cascaded Mach-Zehnder modulators can be utilized to complete multiplication operation between signals in an optical domain, time shift operation is realized by means of an adjustable light delay line between the modulators, then a photoelectric detector is utilized to realize photoelectric conversion, and finally, signal sampling results are accumulated to obtain a convolution result. Compared with a convolution calculation system based on a microelectronic circuit, the system has the advantages of high operation speed, low power consumption and the like; compared with a convolution calculation system based on an integrated photon circuit, the system can perform convolution calculation between signals comprising a large amount of data; and compared with a convolution calculation system based on a wavelength division multiplexing technology, the system is simple in structure and high in operability.
