[0103] Suppliers: *Momentive, **Dow Chemicals, ***Ashland, $Dow Corning, #Sonnenborn
[0104] Formulation Examples 1 to 4 were prepared as follows :
[0105] 1. Disinfect all equipment
[0106] 2. Open the water bath / vessel jacket to 75°C
[0107] 3. Add lipophilic structurant (cetyl or stearyl alcohol, lauric acid) and stir with an overhead stirrer until completely melted
[0108] 4. Add oil phase ingredients (Silwet, petroleum jelly) and mix until completely liquid
[0109] 5. Cool down to 60°C and add powder ingredients (Polyox, Cekol) until fully dispersed.
[0110] 6. Pour the mixture into molds or containers
[0111] 7. Assemble the parts to the razor cartridge

preparation Embodiment 5
[0114] Formulation Example 5 is prepared as follows :
[0115] The lubricating member of the present invention is prepared by extrusion or another high temperature process such as injection molding, compression molding, compaction, ultrasonic or radio frequency sintering, and slot coating. High temperature treatment degrades / breaks down water soluble polymers (PEO) along with additional benefit ingredients. In one embodiment utilizing EVA grade Elvax 660 (available from Dupont) in the lubricating member, the extrusion process temperature was reduced to 110°C. In one embodiment, a lubricious member comprising a thermoelastic skin care active may also be coated or laminated with another lubricious member. In one embodiment, all components of the bar including the mixture of high molecular weight PEO and low molecular weight PEO may be blended alone or in combination with other ingredients prior to molding or extrusion. It may be preferred that the components are free-flowing...
