Embodiment 1

[0013] The outer dimensions of the aluminum alloy bracket are 617×516×210mm, and there are two inner cavities inside, which cannot be formed by core pulling and machining. Both inner cavities have dimensional accuracy requirements and are not allowed to be processed, one of which is 220mm long , 80mm wide, 10-11mm thick, the castings are required to be free of porosity and shrinkage cavity defects, and the tightness test is carried out under 5 atmospheres, and no leakage is required. Squeeze casting of the support was carried out on the LY-1600 vertical press, and the specific implementation is as follows

[0014] 1. Preparation of soluble salt core

[0015] Proportion of soluble salt core: by weight percentage, commercially available edible salt is 70%, adding water glass 10%, high alumina bauxite 16% and water 4%;

[0031] The outer dimensions of the aluminum alloy bracket are 584×490×190mm, and there are two inner cavities inside, which cannot be formed by core pulling and machining, and both have dimensional accuracy requirements, and are not allowed to be processed. Squeeze casting of the support was carried out on the LY-1600 vertical press, and the specific implementation is as follows

[0032] 1. Preparation of soluble salt core

[0033] Proportion of soluble salt core: by weight percentage, commercially available edible salt is 85%, adding water glass 6%, high alumina bauxite 7% and water 2%;

[0034] Production process: 1) After roasting commercially available edible salt, dry mix it with high-alumina vanadium; 2) Add water glass and mix thoroughly, then add water and mix thoroughly, and let it stand for 5 minutes; 3) Add the above mixture to complete the pre-made 1. In two metal molds with the inner cavity of the salt core shape required by the support, squeeze them tightly on t...

Abstract

The making process of soluble salt core for extrusion casting includes the following steps: mixing roasted marketable table salt in 70-85 wt%, high aluminum bauxite in 7-16 wt%, water glass in 6-10 wt% and water in 2-5 wt% successively and fully and letting stand for over 5 min; applying the mixture into metal mold with required complicated inner cavity shape and pressing in press for densifying, blowing CO2 gas and demolding; and stoving the soluble salt core at 150 deg.c or over for over 2 hr. The soluble salt core can bear the high pressure and high temperature of extrusion casting and can obtain casting with high size precision and high surface smoothness. After the casting is set in water, the soluble salt core will dissolve and disintegrate well. The soluble salt core has less making steps, low production cost, and less corrosion to equipment.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to squeeze casting technology, in particular to a soluble salt core for squeeze casting and a manufacturing method thereof, which is especially suitable for complex inner cavity forming of nonferrous alloy squeeze casting. Background technique [0002] Squeeze casting is an advanced material forming processing technology combining casting and forging. During the processing, the liquid metal is filled, solidified, crystallized and formed under external pressure. The obtained casting has a dense internal structure, high surface finish, and fine grains. , good mechanical properties, high dimensional accuracy and so on. [0003] In the process of squeeze casting, because ordinary sand cores will be broken, deformed, aluminized, etc. during the erosion and extrusion of high-temperature and high-pressure liquid metal, for the inner cavity that cannot be obtained through core pulling and processing, the squeeze ca...
