Abstract

The spectral shaping device comprises a mode-locked laser, a raster stretcher, a lens, a pulse sample, an optical fiber splitter, an optical amplifier, a synchronous photoelectric converter, a shaping electrical pulse generator and an integrated guided-wave electro-optical modulator. The invention can perform the spectral pre-shaping of the chirp widening laser pulse before amplification, thus greatly decreasing gain narrowing effect in a chirp pulse amplification system. The spectral shaping device does not need complex light paths and machinery and spectral shape is easy to be changed.
