Main components of the core comprise silica sol binder, mica powder filler, active agents and plasticizer, wherein the mass ratio of the silica sol binder to the mica powder filler is 20:80-30:70; the active agents account for 10 to 30 percent of the sum of the silica sol binder and the mica powder filler; the plasticizer content accounts for 1 to 5 percent of the total mass of the silica sol binder, the mica powder filler and the active agents; and the mass ratio of paraffin to polyethylene in the plasticizer is 5:95-20:80. The preparation method significantly reduces the cost of the soluble core by adopting silica sol as binder. In addition, the soluble core has high strength and certain toughness, can guarantee thesmooth molding of wax molds, can be easily lost in aqueous media under the condition without damaging the performances and shapes of the wax molds, and can meet the requirements of manufacturing high-quality castings.
