Abstract

The invention provides a method for restoring uranium contaminated water body employing floating plant which adopts floating fern azolla as material to repair uranium contaminated water body. The method comprises the following specific steps: (1) planting 2.5-7.5g of azolla for each litre of wastewater which contains 1.25-10mg/L of uranium; (2) adjusting the pH value of the wastewater to 6-10; (3) taking out azolla after 9 days; (4) transferring azolla to another safe place to dry, grind and burn, and finally landfilling the obtained product in a uranium tailing warehouse for concentrated treatment. By using the method of the invention, the uranium content of the wastewater which contains 1.25-10mg/L of uranium can be reduced by 60-90%. The method has simple operation and management, high repairing efficiency, low cost, small environmental risk and good environmental benefit, social benefit and economic benefit.
