Embodiment Construction

[0026] The invention aims at the coordination and scheduling problem of wireless Mesh network data transmission based on IEEE802.16, so as to improve the performance of the wireless Mesh network and solve the problem of data transmission time slot conflict still existing in the existing three-way handshake mechanism.

[0027] The MAC layer of the IEEE802.16 protocol provides a new network topology - Mesh mesh network structure, Mesh adopts time division multiplexing mode, and there is no strict distinction between uplink and downlink. Correspondingly, the Mesh frame adopts a frame structure of time division multiplexing, and consists of two parts: a control subframe and a data subframe.

[0028] like figure 2 Shown is a schematic diagram of the Mesh frame structure of IEEE802.16.

[0029]The control subframe is divided into several slot units, and each slot is a "transmission opportunity". The length of the control subframe is fixed, which is equal to MSH-CTRL-LEN×7 OFDM sy...

Abstract

An improved three-way handshaking method in a Mesh network based on IEEE802.16 relates to the communication field. The improved method is provided aiming at the problem of slot collision during data transmission among nodes under the three-way handshaking mechanism in the universal IEEE802.16 protocol and specifically comprises the followings: a 1-hop neighbor node list, a whole neighbor list, anavailable transmission slot list of the node and a transmission slot list are established at each node; the node receives a GRANT message sent by the neighboring node and processes the information inthe GRANT message according to whether the node is the destination node of the GRANT message under the following two conditions: if the node is the destination node, the minislot in the GRANT messageis compared with an available data transmission slot list; if the node is not the destination node, the minislot in the GRANT message is compared with the transmission slot list, and if collision is found, three-way handshaking is carried out again. The method can effectively avoid the problem of slot collision under the original mechanism, thus reducing the packet loss caused by the collision andincreasing the network throughput.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the communication field, in particular to the medium access control layer (hereinafter referred to as "MAC layer") technology of a wireless Mesh network based on IEEE802.16. Background technique [0002] Currently, two general wireless Mesh networks are based on IEEE802.11 technology and IEEE802.16 technology respectively. The former has a demonstration network, while the latter is still in the research and development stage. In the existing Mesh network based on IEEE802.16, the MAC layer scheduling mechanism can be divided into centralized scheduling and distributed scheduling. Centralized scheduling means that the base station uniformly schedules the allocation of channel resources; distributed scheduling means that user stations can form their own Mesh network to communicate directly with each other, and their control signals are called by distributed nodes. Scheduling algorithms or request / send mechanisms to coordi...
