Embodiment 1

[0012] Example 1: In 2007, 16 mature purple scallops and 16 bay scallops were taken, and after temperature stimulation, they laid eggs and ejaculated, and obtained the sperm eggs of the two kinds of scallops respectively. After cross-fertilization, two hybrid combinations of orthogonal and reverse crossing were obtained. The 12 surviving offspring were found to have 6 female scallops, 3 male scallops, 2 hermaphroditic scallops, and 1 gonad-naive scallop after ripening in the second spring.

Embodiment 22008

[0013] Example 2 In 2008, 4 mature purple scallops were taken, and purple scallop eggs were obtained after temperature stimulation, and hybrid seedlings of purple scallop (female) and bay scallop (male) were obtained after insemination with the sperm of bay scallop. It grows into adults by mid-November, and some of them reach sexual maturity. Among the mature individuals, 12 female scallops, 4 hermaphroditic scallops, and no male scallops were found.

Embodiment 3

[0014] Example 3 The female scallops in Example 2 were ripened, and the eggs were obtained after temperature stimulation, and were fertilized with the sperm of purple scallops and bay scallops respectively, and the fertilized eggs could develop normally, and they were cultured respectively with purple scallops and bay scallops. The second generation of backcross progeny proved that the female hybrid scallops are fertile.

Abstract

The invention discloses technology for culturing a unisexual hybrid scallop by utilizing a purple scallop and a bay scallop, which relates to shellfish breeding technology for aquiculture. The technology comprises the steps of: utilizing two congeneric hermaphroditic scallops with same chromosome number; ripening the two scallops respectively to achieve the synchronous maturity; and then synchronously inducing the two scallops to spawn and spermiate; and acquiring sperms and ovum of the two scallops respectively for interspecies cross-insemination to culture the unisexual hybrid scallop. Obtained offsprings have separated sexes, have males and females, and also have hermaphroditic individuals; ovum from female individuals in the hybrid offsprings can be inseminated by any parental sperm and normally grow; and the hermaphroditic individuals in the hybrid offsprings can be used for quickly purifying a strain.

Description

Technical field: [0001] The invention relates to a shellfish breeding technique for aquaculture, in particular to a technique for cultivating parthenohybrid scallops by using purple scallops and bay scallops. Background technique: [0002] Bay scallops (Argopecten irradians) are native to the Atlantic coast of the United States and were introduced into my country in 1982. The bay scallop grows fast, has a wide range of temperature adaptability, and has strong stress resistance. It is very suitable for farming in the northern seas of my country. At present, the output and farming area account for more than 50% of the scallop farming in my country. Due to the long-term inbreeding after the introduction, the germplasm of bay scallops has been severely degraded during the breeding process, showing that the size of commercial shellfish is getting smaller and smaller, and the mortality rate in the breeding process is high. For example, in 2007, the mortality rate of bay scallop br...
