[0069] Powder Preparation - Green petroleum regular coke (85% fixed carbon content) was ground using a jet mill such that the resulting green coke powder had an average particle size of about 8 microns. The obtained green coke powder was heated at 850° C. for 2 hours under a nitrogen atmosphere.

[0070] Next, in a sealed stainless steel vessel, 500 grams of the heated powder was dispersed in 2500 grams of xylene to form premix A and heated to 140° C. while continuously stirring. Next, 500 grams of petroleum pitch was completely dissolved in 500 grams of xylene to form premix B. Premix B was also heated to 140°C and then poured into Premix A and mixed together thoroughly. The resulting mixture was heated at 160° C. for 10 minutes and then cooled to room temperature while stirring the mixture continuously.
