Abstract

The invention relates to a metallurgy auxiliary material fluxing agent and a preparation method thereof. The metallurgy auxiliary material fluxing agent is characterized by consisting of the following components in percentage by weight: 40 to 45 percent of Fe2O3, 45 to 50 percent of CaO, 1.0 to 4.0 percent of Al2O3, less than 5.0 percent of SiO2 and 0 to 1.5 percent of CaF2, and the melting point of the fluxing agent is less than 1,150 DEG C. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: crushing the components of the metallurgy auxiliary material fluxing agent, uniformly mixing, melting at the high temperature of between 1,200 and 1,550 DEG C, and performing melting reaction to generate calcium ferrite; and cooling the calcium ferrite, and processing to form powder with the particle size of 200 meshes. The metallurgy auxiliary material fluxing agent has the advantages of stable fluxing effect, low unit consumption, no fluorine, low fluorine content, light environmental pollution, long retention period and the like.
