Abstract

The invention relates to a method for preparing an SiC foam ceramic filter, which comprises the following steps: taking netted polyurethane foaming plastics as a ceramic carrier; respectively adding polyethyleneimine and carbinol into water, so as to prepare an activating water solution, wherein the content of the polyethyleneimine is 0.5%-0.8% and the content of the carbinol is 2%-4%; utilizing the activating water solution to perform activating treatment on the ceramic carrier; preparing slurry, wherein the slurry contains by weight part: 100 parts of SiC, 5-8 parts of silicon dioxide powder, 10-13 parts of aluminum oxide powder, 10-15 parts of lithium-based bentonite, 5-20 parts of binders and 40-55 parts of water; soaking the ceramic carrier subjected to the activating treatment into the slurry and fully absorbing the slurry by the ceramic carrier; drying the ceramic carrier which fully absorbs the slurry, thereby removing surplus slurry and forming a blank; and drying and roasting the blank, thereby forming the SiC foam ceramic filter. In the invention, the carbinol is added into PEI, so that the activating property of the activating agent is greatly increased, the PEI concentration is greatly reduced and the production cost of the SiC foam ceramic filter is lowered.
