Abstract

The invention discloses a method for extracting scandium from scandium enrichment. The method comprises the steps of: firstly, mixing over 90% of 100-mesh scandium enrichment with an alkali metal hydroxide by a weight ratio of 1:(0.6-1.8) to obtain a mixture; roasting the mixture at the temperature of 300-650 DEG C to obtain a roasted ore; washing the roasted ore to a pH value of 7-9 with water, wherein the water washing liquid is used for recovering hydroxides of silicon, aluminum and alkali metal; leaching out water washing residues by hydrochloric acid; and filtering to obtain leached residues used as raw materials for recovering the silicon, wherein a leachate is a scandium-containing coarse solution and used as a raw material for further extracting scandium. The method is simple and scientific in technology, capable of effectively leaching and extracting scandium from the scandium enrichment prepared by baiyuneboite or tailings of the baiyuneboite, and high in leaching rate; in addition, other byproducts can be recovered in the technology; and the method can be used for comprehensively recovering the rare dispersive element scandium from the tailings of baiyuneboite.
