Abstract

The invention relates to a determination method for the trace element potassium in pure Hf, which belongs to the field of analysis technology for fine metal trace elements. According to the method, flame atomic absorption spectrometry is employed for determination of the trace element potassium in pure Hf, and an analysis scope is in a range of 0.001 to 0.005%; hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid are used to treat a pure Hf sample, measurement conditions are optimized, major efforts are made for research on interference and a control method for interference, cesium chloride is selected as an ionization inhibitor, influence test and strict control are carried out on the usage amount of dissolving acid and matrix interference, and the content of potassium is measured by using a standard addition method. The invention has the following advantages: the researched and established determination method for the trace element potassium in pure Hf is accurate and reliable and can meet requirements of scientific research and production; the method has low detection limit, being 0.001%; cesium chloride is used as the ionization inhibitor, so an ionization effect is eliminated, and measuring sensitivity is improved at the same time; and the method is rapid in measuring, is easy and convenient to operate and enables considerable manpower and material resources to be saved.
