Abstract

The invention relates to application of a modified water-absorbing resin as a concrete antifreezing reinforcing material. The modified water-absorbing resin is spherical particles prepared by a reversed phase suspension copolymerization method in a 30-50-DEG C water bath from the following components in percentage by weight: 0.3-0.5% of N-N'-methylene-bis acrylamide used as a crosslinking agent, 0.6-0.8% of persulfate used as an initiator, 80-90% of acrylic acid monomer and 10-20% of acrylamide; and petroleum ether is used as a disperse phase. The modified water-absorbing resin has the following characteristics: the particles are fine, the particle size does not exceed 120 mu m, the liquid absorption rate and liquid absorption capacity are very stable in different media, the maximum liquid absorption capacity does not exceed 25 times of the self weight, the diameter of micropores generated in hardened concrete is 2-3 times of that of the original particles, and the influence by Ca<2+> concentration and pH value is greatly lowered. The modified water-absorbing resin spherical particles are doped into the concrete in a dry doping mode, so that the workability of the concrete can be maintained, and the compression strength and especially freezing resistance are obviously improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of building materials, in particular to the application of a modified water-absorbing resin as concrete antifreeze reinforcing material. Background technique [0002] Concrete buildings will experience freeze-thaw damage in any environment where there are alternating positive and negative temperatures, and the interior of the concrete is saturated or partially saturated with water. The freeze-thaw cycle is one of the main causes of concrete damage in severe cold areas, and most of them occur in dams, roads, bridges and other buildings in contact with water. Since the mid-1930s, when pouring concrete in cold regions, the concept of air-entrained concrete has been the rule, without exception. However, the bubbles introduced by the air-entraining agent have a lifetime, and it is inevitable that the bubbles in the freshly mixed concrete will burst during the process of mixing, transportation, and pouring, resul...
