Problems solved by technology

In the second and third generation wireless communication systems, the smart antenna is only used as an incidental function
However, due to the limitation of dipole size, it cannot be modeled for modern handheld devices, such as mobile phones, etc.
Someone uses the ESPAR antenna to design a smart antenna. Although it can deflect the radiation pattern, its size cannot be adapted to the handheld device of modern communication.
Some people use the inverted F antenna and inverted L antenna to design smart antennas. Although their size can be applied to handheld devices, the effect of deflecting the pattern is not obvious, and the gain of the deflected radiation direction does not increase.
[0005] The various smart antennas mentioned above cannot be used in modern handheld devices and cannot improve the user experience

Embodiment Construction

[0029] see figure 1 (a) and figure 1 (b), the radiation mechanism of the microstrip antenna is explained. from figure 1 It can be seen in (a) that the whole antenna unit is composed of 5 branches, of which branch A and branch B control the low frequency part. Since the GSM 900 frequency band is relatively wide, a single inverted F antenna cannot meet this requirement. Therefore, two bandwidths are used to form a complete one to meet the requirements of covering a specific frequency band. Branch C and branch E control the high-frequency PCS 1900 frequency band, and the principle is the same as that of the low-frequency band. It should be noted that the lengths of branches A, B, C, and E are set to be about 1 / 4 of the medium wavelength. figure 1 (b) is the second surface of the small dielectric substrate of the antenna unit, which is used to match the antenna in a specific frequency band through current coupling. PA point is the feeding point, PB, PC is the grounding short c...

Abstract

The invention discloses an intelligent antenna applicable to handheld equipment. The intelligent antenna comprises metal radiation patches of a planar inverted-F antenna, metal ground planes, dielectric substrates, a feed network, two grounding short circuit poles and one feeding electric conduction pole, wherein the metal radiation patches are arranged on the first surface and the second surface of small dielectric substrates; the metal ground planes are arranged on the first surface, the second surface and the periphery of a first large dielectric substrate; the feeding network is arranged on the second surface of a second large dielectric substrate; the dielectric substrates include the small dielectric substrates used for supporting the metal radiation patches and the large dielectric substrates needed by the metal ground planes and the feeding network. The intelligent antenna applicable to the handheld equipment is compact in structure, small in size and capable of meeting requirements on miniaturization, and is capable of enabling a radiating direction of an antenna array to deflect to the pointed position.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of hand-held terminal equipment and relates to a novel intelligent antenna. The frequency of the antenna unit covers GSM900 and PCS 1900 frequency bands, and can realize the function of deflecting the radiation direction. Background technique [0002] In recent years, with the rapid increase of Internet users, the demand for broadband access of residential and commercial users has increased significantly, thus promoting the development and improvement of access technologies and networks. Cable and DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) occupy a large share in the broadband access market, and can better solve the "last mile" transmission problem between network service providers and end users. Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) technology is also gaining popularity as a third access technology. Compared with traditional cables and telephone lines, the BWA system is easy to install, has high data transmission efficiency, low maint...
