The method comprises the following steps: a portion of to-be-tested metal materials which have been subjected to pressure processing is selected to be cut, the specific volume of a to-be-tested sample which has been cut into blocks is measured, then the specific volume of the to-be-tested metal materials before pressure processing or the specific volume of the metal materials in an annealing state is measured; strain of the corresponding portion of the to-be-tested metal materials is calculated according to the measured specific volume; measurement is carried out on the different positions, which have been cut, of the processed to-be-measured metal materials, and the strain of the different positions of the to-be-measured metal materials is calculated according to the specific volume values of the different positions, thereby obtaining strain distribution of the metal materials in the processing state. According to the invention, compared with methods in the prior art, the method of invention is simple in sample preparation, convenient to operate, quantified in experiment result, high in data precision, high in repeatability, and reliable in data, share the same measuring instruments with the methods in the prior art, and can be applied to measurement of strain of all the materials which allow pressure processing and which are without phase changing in the processing process.
