The color increasing agent consists of capsanthin, spirulina platensis and corn gluten meal and a mass ratio of the capsanthin, spirulina platensis and corn gluten meal is 8:5:5. The preparation method comprises the steps of raw material preparing, raw material grinding, crushing and mixing, granulating and puffing, spraying and cooling and packaging. The feed contains the compound color increasing agent and the spirulina platensis and corn gluten meal are metabolized into astaxanthin in fish body, so that the red crucian carps are fresher and brighter in body color. A distribution ratio of the three coloring agents in the color increasing agent improves a coloring function of carotenoids in unit mass, a rapid absorption of pigments and a rapid deposition of body surface for the red crucian carps are presented, and the red crucian carps are rapidly increased in body color.
