Abstract

The invention discloses a rotating platform estuary plume test device and method. The rotating platform estuary plume test device comprises a rotating platform, a first water supply system, a second water supply system and a PIV-PLIF synchronous measurement system, wherein the first water supply system, the second water supply system and the PIV-PLIF synchronous measurement system are carried on the rotating platform. The first water supply system comprises a top water tank and an experiment water tank, and saline water in the top water tank enters the experiment water tank through a drainagepipe; the second water supply system comprises an estuary assembly and multiple groups of fresh water supply devices, the estuary assembly is arranged in the experimental water tank, and the multiplegroups of fresh water supply devices pump fresh water containing PIV particles into the estuary assembly; and the PIV-PLIF synchronous measurement system is used for measuring a flow velocity field and a concentration field of the fluid in the experimental water tank. The device is novel in design, simple in structure, high in integrity, wide in applicable working condition and high in test precision; and the evolution process of the plume interaction of the estuary of the rotating platform under influence of different inflow speeds, inflow densities, Coriolis forces and estuary distances canbe simulated.
