According to the self-lubricating composite material andthe production process thereof, the alloy base layer is prepared through the powder metallurgy technology, then a porous structure is formed on the surface of the alloy base layer through polymethyl methacrylate particles, so that the adhesion of a subsequent solid lubricant, namely the self-lubricating coating, is firmer, meanwhile, the coating does not contain lead; and the manufacturing processis simple and the cost is low.
