The invention discloses a chromium-free self-lubricating passivation solution and a preparation method thereof. The invention discloses a graphene oxide modifying method and application thereof in engine lubricating oil. A fluid composition of (a) a friction modifier derived from the reaction of a carboxylic acid or a reactive equivalent thereof with an aminoalcohol, the friction modifier containing at least two hydrocarbyl groups; and (b) a dispersant other than a species of (a), provides good friction properties to an automatic transmission.
