Abstract

The low-cost alcohol-based fuel comprises the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 7-15% of methanol, 5-10% of ethanol, 35-45% of diesel oil, 10-15% of methylal, 5-15% of xylene, 10-15% of petroleum ether, 1-3% of ferrocene, and 2-8% of nano zinc oxide. According to the invention, the alcohol-based fuel is obtained by taking diesel oil as a main fuel and a main solvent, then adding methanol, ethanol, methylal, xylene and petroleum ether as auxiliary fuels, adding ferrocene and nano zinc oxide as combustion improvers, accurately proportioning and scientifically mixing, can meet the heat requirement of the diesel engine, and greatly reduces the daily oil consumption cost of the diesel engine, wherein the corrosion on an oil tank, an oil delivery pipe, an oil pump, an oil nozzle and an engine combustion chamber in the diesel engine is not higher than corrosion caused by automotive diesel oil.
