Abstract

The invention provides an egg yolk antibody for preventing and treating vibrio vulnificus infection. The egg yolk antibody is prepared by the following method: (1) separating vibrio vulnificus from asample of a patient infected with the vibrio vulnificus in natural environment; (2) preparing a vibrio vulnificus inactivation somatic antigen, and carrying out immunization on an egg-laying hen; and(3) collecting immunized eggs, and extracting and purifying the egg yolk antibody from the egg yolks of the eggs. The egg yolk antibody disclosed by the invention can effectively neutralize the vibriovulnificus so as to terminate the vibrio vulnificus infection, and an effective passive immune agent for subsequent prevention and control of the vibrio vulnificus is provided.
