Problems solved by technology

[0005] In order to overcome the problems of slow start-up of the above-mentioned process and low efficiency of phenol degradation, the present invention provides a method for adding biochar to promote the anaerobic degradation of phenol-containing wastewater, relying on the huge specific surface area and porous structure of biochar to alleviate the biological toxicity of phenol, In this way, the rapid start-up of the anaerobic biological treatment process is accelerated, and the oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of the biochar make it redox active, which may stimulate the direct transfer of electrons between mutualistic methanogens, thereby promoting the efficiency of methane production, and has a positive effect on the production of methanogens. The methane process has a continuous facilitation

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for promoting anaerobic degradation of phenol-containing wastewater by adding biochar, which comprises the following steps: adding homemade sawdust biochar into a phenol-containing wastewater anaerobic degradation system, thereby obviously lowering the biotoxicity of phenol-containing wastewater, accelerating the environment adaptation of microorganisms and being beneficial to quick start of the system so as to degrade phenol. Moreover, the conductivity of the biochar based on the redox activity may stimulate direct transmission of interspecific electrons, so that anaerobic degradation of the phenolic wastewater is promoted, and the promoting effect is continuous. The method has the main advantages that (1) the biochar can be automatically prepared from solid waste, the optimal preparation condition of the biochar can be determined through batch experiments, and the biochar can be recycled; (2) the biochar relieves the biotoxicity of the phenol wastewater through an adsorption effect, which is beneficial to quick start of a phenol anaerobic degradation system; and (3) the biochar has a continuous remarkable promotion effect on anaerobic degradation of phenol wastewater with different concentrations.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of environmental engineering, in particular to a method for promoting anaerobic degradation of phenol-containing wastewater by adding biochar. Background technique [0002] Phenol, as an important organic chemical raw material, widely exists in coal chemical industry and textile industrial wastewater, and has attracted widespread attention because of its carcinogenicity and stubbornness. Anaerobic biological treatment of wastewater is to use anaerobic microorganisms to degrade organic pollutants and produce methane under anaerobic conditions. Anaerobic biological treatment technology has the obvious advantages of low energy consumption, less residual sludge, and low carbon emissions, and has been widely used in wastewater and waste treatment. Anaerobic digestion technology can effectively remove refractory organic matter and obtain clean bioenergy. [0003] However, the biotoxicity and thermodynamic barrie...
