Abstract

The preparation process includes the following steps: 1. mixing starch, polyethylene or polypropylene, glyceryl stearate and glycerin in certain weight proportion at 80-120 deg.c in a mixer for 3-5 min; 2. adding ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, vegetable oil, sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide and long chain alkyl maleic anhydride in certain weight proportion to the mixer at 100-120 and mixing for further 10-15 min; and 3. cooling the mixed material, extruding the mixture in a screw extruder at 100-150 into sheet, and stretching at 50-70 to obtain the packing material. The packing material is heat resistant, water resistant, oil resistant, flexible and degradable.
