[0017]The present disclosure reveals light sources that provide high spectral radiance in a compact package that has improved manufacturability due to reduced component count. By including multiple pump light sources for stimulating a fluorescent body to emit a fluorescent light beam and gathering the pumping light with a parabolic mirror surface disposed outside of the output fluorescent light beam, the amount of light produced by the light source is increased, while providing better thermal management by locating the pump light sources behind the output of the light source. The parabolic mirror may be circular in profile, or the profile may be annular, in order to provide an aperture for extracting the emitted output beam.
