Abstract

Using standard technique of IC, through design of multiple current paths, the method reduces effect of current congestion so as to improve performance of inductive character on chip. Design of multiple current paths means (1) metal of single coil in conventional design is divided into multi wires in parallel; (2) metal wires in upper and lower layers are enwound around insulating layer located between the metal wires. Thus, current capable of entering into and passing through wire is directly proportional to cross sectional area; and increased amplitude of resistance of cascaded inductances along with increase of frequency caused by skin effect and approach effect will be reduced. The invention raises quality factor of inductance.
