Problems solved by technology

However, a large number of experiments and clinical use results show that the bonding strength between this coating material and the titanium alloy substrate is not high, and the coating is easy to peel off; moreover, the solubility of the coating is relatively large, and its long-term application has potential safety hazards [Compiled by Tian Wenhua, Biomaterials and Medical Implant Science, Foreign Medical Biomedical Engineering Volume, 1997, 20: 253-256.]

Embodiment 1

[0021] Take by weighing 190 grams of wollastonite and 10 grams of silver powder, then weigh 200 grams of zirconia balls with a diameter of 3 mm and 6 mm (the mass ratio of the two zirconia balls is 1: 1), put them into a ball mill bottle, and Ball milled on a ball mill for 2 hours to make wollastonite powder containing 5 wt% silver. Atmospheric plasma spraying technology was used to spray the mixed powder on the cleaned and sandblasted Ti-6Al-4V substrate with the spraying process parameters in Table 2. The wollastonite / silver composite coating prepared by this method was immersed in simulated body fluid for 14 days, and the surface was covered with a layer of bone-like apatite particles ( figure 2 ). After Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were planted on the wollastonite / silver composite coating surface for 24 hours, the bacterial mortality rate could reach 100%, while the wollastonite coating prepared under the same conditions had no inhibitory or killing effect ...

Embodiment 2

[0025] Weigh 198 grams of wollastonite and 2 grams of silver powder, then weigh 200 grams of zirconia balls with a diameter of 3 mm and 6 mm in a ratio of 1:1, put them into a ball mill bottle, and mill them on a ball mill for 2 hours to prepare into wollastonite / silver mixed powder containing 1 wt% silver. Atmospheric plasma spraying technology was used to spray the mixed powder on the cleaned and sandblasted Ti-6Al-4V substrate with the spraying process parameters in Table 2. The wollastonite / silver composite coating prepared by this method is immersed in simulated body fluid for 7 days, and bone-like apatite particles can be formed on the surface. The antibacterial rate of the composite coating to Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus is also 100%. The colony photos of Escherichia coli cultured on the surface of the test piece for 24 hours are shown in Image 6. The in vitro cytotoxicity test shows that the wollastonite / silver composite coating has no obvious effect...

Abstract

The invention relates to an antibacterial wollastonite composite coating and a preparation method thereof, which is characterized in that the wollastonite coating consists of a wollastonite and a silver powder; wherein the mass percentage of the silver powder is 0.1-5%; and the wollastonite composite coating consists of the wollastonite, a silver and a silver oxide. The preparation method is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps of taking the wollastonite powder as the main composition of the coating, taking the metal silver powder as the antibacterial addition composition, taking medical titanium alloy as the substrate of the coating, firstly mixing the silver powder and the wollastonite dryly and uniformly, and preparing the coating by a plasma spraying equipmentmethod. The coating has excellent biological activity and antibacterial property so as to be used for bone tissue restoration and replacement. The coating can induce the wollastonite to be generatedon the surface when being dipped in the simulated body fluid; furthermore, the escherichia coli and the staphylococcus aureus can be cultivated on the surface of the coating, and the death rate of thebacteria is 100%.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the preparation of an antibacterial bone replacement coating material-preparation of an antibacterial bioactive plasma sprayed wollastonite composite coating, which belongs to the field of medical bioceramic coatings. Background technique [0002] Bone is one of the most important connective tissues in the human body. It plays an irreplaceable role in protecting internal organs, providing attachment for muscles, and producing blood cells. However, with the increase of population, frequent occurrence of diseases, traffic accidents, trauma and local wars, people’s bone tissue damage has increased, and a large number of orthopedic materials have been implanted into the human body to repair and replace damaged bone tissue [Giannoudis PV, Dinopoulos H, Tsirdis E, Bone substitutes: An update, Injury 2005, 365: 520-527.]. Implantation of materials into the human body for tissue repair and replacement is prone to postoperative infecti...
