Abstract

The invention provides the method for preparing the amphoteric vinyl polymer / ZnO nanocomposite tanning agent by two steps of copolymerizing cationic monomer dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride and vinyl monomers into an amphoteric vinyl polymer, and compositing the amphoteric vinyl polymer with nano-ZnO, thereby preparing the amphoteric vinyl polymer / ZnO nanocomposite tanning agent. The nanocomposite tanning agent is combined with 2% chrome powder for tanning pickled sheep skin, thereby improving the absorbability of chrome tanning waste liquid and enhancing the dyeing and fat-liquoring effect; and the thickness increment ratio of the tanned finished leather can achieve 53%, and the physical and mechanical performances are good.
