Abstract

The invention relates to a halogen-free flame resistance polyurethane elastomer sheathing material and a preparation method thereof. The elastomer sheathing material comprises basic resin a, basic resin b, modified resin c, flame retardant, antioxidant, anti-hydrolysis agent, light stabilizer and lubricant. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly precrosslinking the basic resin a and the modified resin c, and then mixing the precrosslinked copolymer with other ingredients evenly according to the proportions of a formula to perform extrusion granulation. The invention hasthe advantage that the extrusion and coating speeds are fast when processing optical cables, the extrusion surface is smooth and fine; and the product is halogen-free and environmentally friendly andhas low smoke and toxity and good combination property so that the polyurethane elastomer sheathing material of the invention is an ideal material capable of replacing halogen-free flame resistance polyolefin and halogen-containing flame resistance polyurethane elastomer.
