Problems solved by technology

[0007] The characteristics of flower vessels of Jerusalem artichoke cause incomplete detasseling in artificial hybridization, which requires continuous detasseling and heavy workload, and its loose powder characteristics make it difficult to prevent pollen pollution during hybridization, and the purity of hybrid seeds cannot be guaranteed
[0008] In view of the difficulty in manual hybridization and detasseling of Jerusalem artichoke in the process of hybrid breeding, and the problem of large pollen pollution, it is urgent to establish a set of simple and effective emasculation hybridization technology for Jerusalem artichoke and related crops of the family Asteraceae. The selection of breeding provides a practical method of operation

[0047] 1. Hybridization method

[0048] (1) Detasseling of Jerusalem artichoke female parent

[0049] 1. Selection of inflorescences to be castrated

[0050] The tubular flowers in the Jerusalem artichoke inflorescence are arranged in clusters, and its flowering characteristic is to open sequentially from the periphery to the middle. Before the temperature rises in the morning, the pistil style and stamen anther filaments on the same tubular flower in Jerusalem artichoke inflorescence will grow rapidly, and the growth speeds of the two are different. The stamen anther filaments elongate faster and mature before the pistil; the pistil style grows slowly , so that a certain distance is formed between the stigma of the pistil and the top of the stamen. According to this feature, the tubular floret stamens on the peripheral edge of the disk are selected to be mature but not loose powder, the p...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the artificial crossing of jerusalem artichoke. The method is to carry out a stamen removal operation on the inflorescence of a feverfew in the following florescence stage: the tubular flower at the peripheral edge of the flower disc has the following structure: the stamen is a syngenesious one which comprises filaments and anthers, wherein the filaments are separated, the anthers inosculate with each other to form a tubular shape, and the anthers do not shed pollen; the pistil comprises a stigma, a style and an ovary, wherein the style and the stigma arepositioned in the center of the bottom in the anther, the style is not extended, and the distance between the stigma and the top end of the anther is 2mm-3mm; and the top end of the anther is the endaway from the flower disc. The method is convenient and effective, well avoids the complication of continuous stamen removal and pollution to pollen, can prevent idiogamy, obtains a high-purity hybrid seed, and ensures the accuracy and reliability of the hybrid seed pedigree. The method is also applicable to the artificial crossing of other crops with capitula in the feverfew. The method providesa new technical measure for the germ plasm resource innovation of jerusalem artichoke, lays a solid foundation for the new germ plasm resource development of jerusalem artichoke, and has wide application prospects in the selective breeding of jerusalem artichoke hybrid varieties.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for artificial hybridization of Jerusalem artichoke. Background technique [0002] Jerusalem artichoke (Helianthus tuberosus L.), also known as Jerusalem artichoke, is a perennial herb of the genus Sunflower in the Asteraceae family. It originated in North America and was introduced to China via Europe. Now it is cultivated in most parts of China. Jerusalem artichoke has the characteristics of cold resistance, drought resistance, salt and alkali resistance, barren resistance, disease and insect pest resistance, strong adaptability and simple cultivation; it is a high-density energy plant, a new economic crop and a feed crop. [0003] As a cold-resistant, drought-resistant and barren-resistant ecological and economical plant, Jerusalem artichoke has a well-developed root system and strong fecundity, and is widely used in desert control research; Jerusalem artichoke tubers are rich in a large amount of inulin, which is t...
