Abstract

The invention discloses a novel microwave low-temperature plasma reformer system, and in particular relates to a vehicle-mounted microwave low-temperature plasma reformer system for online hydrogen production. The system is used for preparing a hydrogen rich gas by converting gasoline, diesel oil, alcohol, water and mixture thereof. According to the technical scheme, the system comprises two resonant cavities, namely a cylindrical resonant cavity and a rectangular resonant cavity. A new method of multi-port input in the tangential direction is designed, and plasma is stably generated through vortex airflow in the cavity of a reformer. According to two sets of gas output ports, namely a main gas output port and a sub gas output port, the power density in the cavity can be kept in a relatively low level. According to two rectangular cavity structures, a boron silicate glass tube is used in one design, so that the risk of polluting the microwave resonant cavity by chemical substances is reduced; and the partial resonant cavity is used as a chemical reactor in the other design, so that the designed structure is simple. An automatic starting technology for igniting the microwave low-temperature plasma when the microwave plasma is initially excited is also designed.
