Embodiment 1

[0019] The method for generating a broadband frequency tunable optical microwave signal based on injection locking technology provided by the present invention includes:

[0020] First, first construct a stable dual-loop low-frequency optoelectronic oscillator;

[0021] Second, inject external continuous light into the optoelectronic oscillator, realize injection locking in the direct modulation laser, the core component of the optoelectronic oscillator, complete the up-conversion process of optical microwaves, and generate high-frequency optical microwave signals;

[0022] Third, the tunability of the optoelectronic oscillator is realized by adjusting the wavelength, optical power and polarization state of the external continuous light, thereby generating an optical microwave signal of the required frequency.

[0023] The double-loop low-frequency photoelectric oscillator constructed in the first step of the present invention is as figure 1 As shown, the optoelectronic oscil...

Abstract

The invention discloses a production method of an optical microwave signal with tunable broadband frequency. The method comprises the following steps: constructing a stable dual-loop low-frequency optoelectronic oscillator; injecting an external continuous lights into the optoelectronic oscillator, implementing the injection locking in a directly modulated laser of a core component of the optoelectronic oscillator to finish the up-conversion process of the optical microwave so as to generate a high-frequency optical microwave signal; implementing the tunability of the optoelectronic oscillator by adjusting the wavelength, optical power and polarization state of the external continuous lights so as to generate the optical microwave signal with needed frequency. By injecting the external continuous lights into the directly modulated laser in the optoelectronic oscillator and then locking an optical carrier wave after the up-conversion is generated under a high-order mode, the high-quality optical microwave signal is produced. The method provided by the invention can be used for producing any high-frequency optical microwave signal based on an injection locking technology by using the lower-frequency electric signal, and the tunability of the microwave frequency can be realized by only controlling the wavelength, polarization state and optical power of the injected continuous lights.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of microwave photons in optical communication and microwave / millimeter wave technology, in particular to a photoelectric oscillator for frequency tunable optical microwave signal generation. Background technique [0002] In the past 20 years, under the condition of rapid development of microwave photonic technology, the optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) has attracted widespread attention because it can simultaneously generate high-quality high-frequency optical microwave signals. A considerable number of domestic and foreign research institutions and researchers are engaged in OEO or In the research related to it, OEO has achieved remarkable development due to its distinct characteristics. [0003] The earliest OEO structure in the world was proposed by Neyer and Voges in 1982. The ring structure of the electro-optical modulator is controlled by the optical signal feedback at the output end to realize the oscillator. T...
