Problems solved by technology

[0003] However, the affinity between silica and diene rubber is insufficient, and the dispersibility may become insufficient. In this case, the effect of changing the dynamic viscoelastic properties such as the loss tangent (tan δ) of the rubber composition cannot be sufficiently obtained. The problem
In addition, silica tends to have a lower reinforcing effect when blended into the rubber component than carbon black, so there are problems such as poor dispersibility and insufficient wear resistance.

Embodiment

[0108] Seventy types of rubber compositions for tire treads (Examples 1 to 29, Comparative Examples 1 to 41) composed of the compounds shown in Tables 1 to 11 were prepared by mixing components other than sulfur and vulcanization accelerators with those shown in Table 12. The common compounding components shown were kneaded in a 16 L closed mixer at 150° C. for 6 minutes, sulfur and a vulcanization accelerator were added to the released masterbatch, and kneading was carried out using an open roll to prepare. In Tables 1 to 11, when the SBR contains extended oil, the compounded amount of SBR containing extended oil is described, and the compounded amount of SBR excluding the net weight of oil is described in parentheses. In addition, the amounts of the commonly compounded components shown in Table 12 are compounded in parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the diene rubbers described in Tables 1 to 11 (rubber weight by net weight).

Abstract

A rubber composition for use in tire treads comprises a diene rubber including not less than 40% by weight of a modified conjugated diene polymer rubber and, per 100 parts by weight of the diene rubber, from 66 to 110 parts by weight of a filler. The filler comprises not less than 50% by weight of silica. The modified conjugated diene polymer rubber is obtained by copolymerizing a conjugated diene monomer unit and an aromatic vinyl monomer unit in a hydrocarbon solvent using an organic active metal compound as an initiator. A resulting active conjugated diene polymer chain thereof has a terminal modified group, obtained by reacting at least one type of compound having a functional group that is reactable with the active terminal of the polymer chain. Moreover, the terminal modified group has a functional group that interacts with the silica.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a rubber composition for tire treads, and more specifically relates to a rubber composition for tire treads with further reduced rolling resistance. Background technique [0002] In recent years, excellent handling stability has been demanded as performance required for pneumatic tires, and fuel efficiency has been demanded to be excellent in accordance with increasing interest in global environmental issues. In order to improve handling stability, it is known to make tires rigid. However, if the amount of filler compounded in the rubber composition constituting the tread portion is increased in order to increase the rigidity of the tire, the fuel consumption performance will decrease. Therefore, by adding a large amount of silica to the rubber composition for treads, heat generation is suppressed and rolling resistance is reduced, thereby improving the fuel consumption performance of the pneumatic tire. In addition, ...
