The insect repellent comprises the following components in parts by weight: 5-8 parts of tripterygium wilfordii, 20-30 parts of radix sophorae flavescentis, 15-25 parts of the fruit of rangoon creeper, 10-15 parts of stone-like omphalia, 20-30 parts of rheum officinale, 10-15 parts of liquorice, and 10-15 parts of beta-cyclodextrin. Effective pharmaceutical ingredients of tripterygium wilfordii and active ingredients of liquorice are separated by using modern pharmacology, meanwhile, scientific composition and preparation are carried out by a modern traditional Chinese medicine principle, stone-like omphalia powder, radix sophorae flavescentis powder, rangoon creeper powder and rheum officinale powder are mixed with the effective pharmaceutical ingredients of the tripterygium wilfordii and the effective ingredients of the liquorice, and the pelleting is carried out through beta-cyclodextrin. Multiple insect repellent ingredients are contained in the prescription to achieve the purpose of thoroughly clearing away protozoon and parasite in vitro and vivo.
