Abstract

A method of molysite-catalyzed atom transfer radical polymerization under natural light irradiation belongs to the technical field of high polymer chemical reaction methods. A monomer, an initiator, a molysite catalyst, a ligand of ferric salt and a reducing agent for radical polymerization are combined into a polymerization reaction system according to certain proportion for atom transfer radical polymerization under the natural light irradiation and in presence of oxygen to obtain a polymer after the reaction. The obtained polymer has the characteristics of living polymerization. The method is simple in conditions, easy in operation and energy-saving, and provides a simple-cost living polymerization technology.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of macromolecule chemistry, in particular to a method for preparing a polymer by catalyzing an atom transfer radical polymerization by an iron salt under the irradiation of natural light and in the presence of oxygen. Background technique [0002] Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) is a living polymerization technology developed in recent years, which has important application value. In 1995, Professor Wang Jinshan and K. Matyjaszewski (Controlled / living radical polymerization. atom transfer radical polymerization in the presence of transition-metal complexes, J Am Chem Soc, 1995,117,5614-5615.) used CuCl and 2,2 / The complexes of -bipyridyl (BPy) successfully catalyzed the copolymerization reaction of styrene and methacrylic acid. The experimental results found that the polymer synthesized by this method had a narrow relative molecular weight distribution (1.2~1.5), and the monomer conversion rate There ...
